Maine is awesome in the summer. People come from all over the world not just for the beautiful beaches, the Atlantic Ocean, the extraordinary lakes and mountains, but also for the weather. The days are usually warm not hot, followed by cool evenings. The average summer temperature runs a high of 78 degrees during the day and a low of 57 degrees in the evening. Be sure to pack shorts for the warm days and a sweater or jacket for the evenings. It can always rain, so raingear would be a smart packing choice too. Hopefully we will be blessed with beautiful weather, and hopefully we will be well prepared if it doesn’t come. We would suggest the following items as you are considering what to pack:
