Whether the rest of America acknowledges it or not, New England is its own unique slice of intellectual culture, beautiful scenery, fantastic history, and hostile sports fans. I should know; I grew up there my whole life. Obviously, a big part of the culture is the music. Some of the greatest bands of all time have come from the Northeast quadrant of the country, including Mission of Burma, Phish, the Dropkick Murphys, and, of course, Boston. All this great music comes out of the northeast, but, for some reason, it’s not been harnessed altogether in some sort of gathering, or, for lack of a better word, festival. …
